Remarks.
We recommend Graphite lubrication but we have no definite cure for this complaint.

The new design of Side Steering Tube, Spring loaded Cross Steering Tube and .940 Worm, overcomes a large majority of these complaints. It has now been agreed that we carry out any, or all, of these modifications when cars come into the Repair Depots. At the present time material is being manufactured for this purpose.

The position is the same as at last quarter. The latest Magnetos are a definite improvement.

We are carrying out the oil seal and ventilation scheme on all complaints we receive.

This complaints is confined to the earlier models, and we expect it to die out. Fitting Brico Rings cures a large percentage. If this is not satisfactory the most effective cure is grinding the Cylinder bores, and fitting new Pistons. Overoiling seems to start easily with an oval worn cylinder bore, and will come up after decarbonising when the carbon seal is removed.
