LONDON.S.W.15.

For the attention of Major C.M. Carington.
Your ref. CMC/MEN.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 25th ult. re the corundite plugs with detachable insulators, and note your remarks. However, we should still like you to make up a gross of FE.30.X. type plugs with detachable insulators in order to help us with a few isolated cases of overoiling on new engines, which is cured after an initial run. We find that plugs missing due to bad oiling up, are not effectively cured by sandblast cleaning, and wish to have some detachable plugs which can be cleaned efficiently, at hand, for use on the initial run. We should like a further 2 doz. FLB.50.X. plugs in order to try these out under all conditions.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
