| 606 To By {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /CRL. {C. R. Lisson} from Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /AFN. c. By. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Dn. RRC. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /AFN.3/AP.22.1.38 WRAITH BRAKE PINS - LUBRICATION Will you please instruct that on Wraith all unlubricated portions of the brake mechanism, e.g. all clevis K. {Mr Kilner} pins, needle roller bearings, servo cams, hand brake ratchet release mechanism (where not exposed to driver's hands) should be copiously smeared with Duckhams K.G.20 Grease. The servo spindle may be lightly smeared with same grease, instead of oil. Where Oilite bushes are used, this grease is not to be employed. In the Experimental Dept. we have for some time now built up all our cars like this (Bentleys & Ph.IIIs. as well as Wraith) and the results are good. K.G.20 is a high melting point zinc loaded non-soluble grease. RM {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /AFN. | ||
