WRAITH - EXHAUST SYSTEM

Your Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /GWH. {George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} 31/N.27.7.39 addressed to Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has been handed to us for attention.

The position is still exactly as explained to you in Ry/SB {Mr Bull/Mr Bannister} 3/MG.20.5.39, which was written in reply to yours of May 18th. We pointed out that it looked as though the forward tubular stays would do with being made from thicker gauge material, but before instructing this we asked for further information as to the condition of other Wraith silencers after a reasonable mileage. We have heard nothing further from you on this subject, so no action has been taken.

Mx {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} /SB. {Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}
