BENTLEY ENGINE W.3.10 (ALUMINIUM)
EX CORNICHE(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced) 14.B.V.

We have today weighed the above engine complete, as follows:-

Distributor, Two coils, wiring.
Dynamo.
Light Corniche(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced) flywheels and 10" Long clutch.
(no clutch cover or pedal mechanism).
Fan Belt.
Induction and Exhaust Manifolds.
Two Carburetters and Silencer.
Crankcase full of oil.

As weighed 582 lbs.
Add R.R. starter 22½
604½ lbs.

Less oil 16 lbs. Engine dry 588½

In comparing this with the B.III weight analysis, it is necessary to add 18 lbs. which is the difference between the Corniche(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced) flexible wheel and the original rigid wheel, and this would bring the weight to 606 lbs. as compared to 592 lbs. shown in the analysis.
