VISCOUNT NUFFIELD CHAIRMAN OLIVER BODEN, O.B.E. VICE-CHAIRMAN T.C. SKINNER, M.I.A.E. MANAGING DIRECTOR YOUR REF: Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /CTS. {C. Trot Salt - Carburation} 7/JH. OUR REF: BC/HJ. 5th August/1938. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Experimental Dept., DERBY. For the attention of Mr. Salt. Dear Sir, Further to 'phone conversation and your letter of the 4th inst., there is nothing very serious from our point of view, in your ordering six pairs of HV.8's with hydraulic pistons - the Machine Shop are on holiday until the end of next week but after that date we could supply in about fourteen days minimum. The black enamel and dull nickel finish takes a fair time. Incidentally, presumably you would require the light aluminium piston, as you have had occasionally in the past. Yours faithfully, for THE S.U. CARBURETTER CO.LTD. B. Cooper Handwritten notes: Top middle: 1487 Left side: Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /CTS {C. Trot Salt - Carburation} | ||
