1484 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}4/MH.{M. Huckerby} 8th. August 1938. The S.U.Carburetter Co., East Works, Bordesley Green Road, Adderley Park, BIRMINGHAM, 8. For the attention of Mr.Cooper. Dear Sirs, Many thanks for your letter ref. BC/HJ dated 5th. August, concerning H.V.8 carburetters, we will be dealing with this matter in the near future. With reference to the automatic starting device shown on your assembly drawing No.74; we are very concerned about the noise of the starting carb when in action. If necessary, the writer can call on you to discuss the matter more fully. In any case, we would like to hear your views on this matter, and to have your co-operation in silencing the unit. Our first effort will be to boldly connect your unit to a normal air silencer, what do you think about that ? Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
