X.3839 - Threaded Rubber Separators for Batteries. I confirm mine Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} 3/NJ27.1.26 and attach hereto copy of letter from Peto & Radford, dated 28th inst. in reply to the remarks in EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 7/T15.1.26. With regard to the way in which the separators should be turned towards the positive plates, are you agreeable to Peto & Radford making up the cells alternately in this respect, or would you prefer that the ribbed surface should in every case face the positive plate?
