Oil Consumption Tests on 28.G.VI.

We have carried out oil consumption tests to determine the comparative values for the following -

(A) Aerolite pistons EB.3151 (fitting skirt).
E.60820 Comp. rings.
EB.3122 Scraper.

(B) Aerolite pistons EB.3822 (slack skirt)
Piston rings as A. {Mr Adams}

(C) As B. but with second ring L section..

The runs were taken over a 200 mile course and the same average speed was aimed at throughout. When the pistons were changed the rings were kept to the same cylinders excepting C test where an L section ring was fitted.

From the attached results we conclude.

A is 20% better than B.
C is 26% better than B.
