| IMPORTANT. We recommend for English cars a setting of 12 to 15 thous. of an inch; for Fords and American cars 15 to 17 thous. of an inch. If, after use, you note a yellowish colour at the point, it indicates that the gap is too wide; a reddish colour denotes that the gap is not wide enough. A little experimentation will determine the gap best suited to the needs of your motor. Any of the above parts may be purchased at the prices indicated. It is not necessary to buy a new Plug to renew a part. Platomaс Plugs. The electrode is platinum plated by a new and protected process. The electric current acting on this platinum sets up an electrolytic action which splits any globule of oil between the electrodes, so that Platomaс Plugs will continue to fire perfectly when submerged in oil under 150-lbs. pressure per square inch. This is why they won't oil up. Platomaс Plugs. The insulation is "steatite," acknowledged to be the best insulating material known. The method of insulating enables the Plug to withstand a pressure of 150-lbs. to the square inch. PICKARD, DOBSON & CO., LIMITED, (Sales Dept.) 288, Deansgate, Manchester. | ||
