COMPARISON OF HARRISON 4 PLATE VISCON AND MARSTON 4 PLATE VISCON.

Oil flow - 7 G.P.M. = 59.5 lbs/min.
Water flow - 15 G.P.M.

Heat Dissipation -
(1) Harrison - 174.8 BTh.Us/Min/40°F.I.T.D.
(2) Marston - 139.0 BTh.Us/Min/40°F.I.T.D.

i.e. under same conditions, Harrison Viscon dissipates 20% more heat than Marston Viscon.

(Note. Harrison Viscon dissipates 11% more heat than std. honeycomb type of cooler.)

Oil Pressure drop.
(1) Harrison - 15 lbs/sq.in. (Inlet oil 210°F. {Mr Friese} )
(2) Marston - 46.8 " Hg. = 22.9 lbs/sq.in. (mean oil 235°F)

.. Press. drop with Marston cooler is 53% greater.
