Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Sft. {Mr Swift} X327 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 16/KW.20.1.36. Ph.III Diagonal Sheet Metal Frame Stays. Referring to E.2/HP.17.1.36. We have only just got 32-EX car on the road fitted with the first set of these diagonal frame stays. We agree with E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} , however, that in view of the fact that the body is likely to be rubber mounted, these diagonal stays should be fitted to the first production cars.
