which were 'E'. I believe there was some reason for making this alteration, but I think the brake shoe is not of sufficient strength to resist any out-of-truth movement of the brake drum.
(15) Detachable plywood screen to be fitted to cut out about one third of radiator. Bottom tank requires bosses cast on it to carry screen ( works note requoted.)
(16) Oil retaining ring to clutch solid with clutch ring.
(As there are a large number of clutch ring forgings already in the sotres, it is proposed that a separate aluminium ring be bolted to the clutch ring until the stock is sued up. Also, investigations must be made to see whether the clutch can be conveniently dismantled if the oil retaining ring be left solid with the clutch ring, as on the clutch ring to be removed as it nearly fouls the cross member.)
(17) Rear Springs having few thick plates, the bottom plates having a single slit inthe rear half.
(18) Heel plate similar to those fitted to 49-GB
(19) Lucas 12-volt dynamo. Special care being taken to see that the pueely is sufficiently large to give a reliable drive, not less than 4", preferably 4 1/2 belt centres. Ratios not more than 1.5 to 1.
(20) Klaxon horn fitted inside the bonnet similar to 49-GB.
