re Oil Seal for Brake Countershaft
20/25 Gearbox, and Bentley.
--------------------

With reference to GWH. {George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} 3/JAB and the modification which was said to be made to 21-G-4 gearbox, fitting a Perfect oil seal, this box has now been pulled down, and there is no trace of the alteration, and there is nobody in these works who has any record.

We have, however, instructed a modification as shown on N.Sch.4697 using a standard Perfect oil seal at this point.

We cannot use a Gits here as it takes up too much room, but we believe the Perfect oil seal is all right for this particular job.
