Bentley Steering Control [Crossed out] Rattle.

With reference to your memo Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /FJH. {Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} 2/MH. {M. Huckerby} 19.1.39, we have looked through the files and find that during the last seven months the percentage of control rattles in 'KU' series has been 21% and previous to 'KU' series 58% of cars dealt with. The increased clearance of 0.020 has therefore improved matters, but it is not a complete cure.

The average mileage that the trouble occurred was 'KU' series - 9,426 and for 'KT' series 7,676.

We must not have rattles on BV [Handwritten]
