E {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} /Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 1/MN.18.1.37. Wraith II Front Brake Operation. A foul has been reported on the vertical spherical operating link to the front brakes over the pivot. This is because the piece GW.890 needed to be handed. However, we are very anxious to avoid this and have shown on N.Sch. 5003 herewith the ball and GW.890 having a counter-sink in both sides of the clamping bolt hole so that the counter-sunk headed screw can be put in the correct way round on either wall without handing the piece. The nut having a counter sunk headed seat needs no locking. This scheme has been used in a similar position before. Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Att:N:Sch.5003. | ||
