RE. STANDARDISATION SHEET FOR PETROL TANK WITH RESERVE COMPARTMENT.

Answering your BJ14/H17.9.24. We will arrange that the next car which goes to WW. shall take a sample tank for R. {Sir Henry Royce} to inspect and on the way back the tank could be submitted to Sales.

On 24th. Sept. 1923 we sent a 20 HP. car to London fitted with a petrol tank having a reserve compartment. The only modification which has been made to it since then is inside the tank. The Sales criticism at that time was that they recommended the tap should be operated from the Instrument Board. Nothing has been done with this - the tap is still on the tank itself.
