re. 20-HP Petrol Tank Filler.

We have received comments to the effect that this is not very satisfactory. The points to which our attention is drawn are as follows:-

1. The filler cap itself is cheap and nasty.

2. The safety wire attaching the cap to the tank becomes rusty and becomes difficult to work. It has been suggested that a well plated chain could be used instead of this flexible wire.

3. The inside of the filler tube becomes very dirty, and there are also outstanding signs of chemical action taking place, as the presence of copper sulphate (?) is very prevalent.
The inside of this tube does not appear to be tinned for the whole length. Could not this be done to advantage? We certainly do suffer while cars are on test with the presence of this salt in the petrol system.

We have a new complete car now in the Test Dept. No. GMK-34, which, as a matter of fact has not yet been definitely handed over to the customer, and which gives an example of the features explained above.
