PETROL FILTERS. [4037]

With reference to the Ionides filter. We have examined it with interest. We think that the edge filter of the Zenith type should more or less eliminate our present troubles with hairs choking the low speed jets.

We can always reduce the distance between the plates if the trouble recurs.

An advantage of the Zenith filter is that water is trapped in the glass bowl bottom and does not stop the petrol flow. We have done away with the carb. gauze filter and hope we shall not have to return to it.

We are returning the sample.
