| 402Y To Bentley Motors Ltd. London.................... Copy to Sgt.Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rn. {Mr Robinson} JBD. {John B. Dixon - Fuel Systems} Levallois Re: COMPLETION OF CORNICHE(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced) CAR BY KELLNERS Thanks for your C3/CI4.5.40, contents of which have been noted. This has crossed the telegram I sent you last night, reading COWEN OWING PRESENT RAILWAY TRANSPORT DIFFICULTIES SUGGEST BENTLEY CHASSIS HELD UP AND NEW LICENSE OBTAINED SIBATOR which I think will be found self explanatory. Owing to the present situation over in this country, difficulties of rail transport etc., I consider that it would not be wise to send the chassis over at the present stage and I am of the opinion that it will be better leave this matter in abeyance until we see how things go from a military point of view. I feel sure that you will agree with me that this is the right attitude to adopt. Sr. | ||
