GOSHAWK(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)) - PETROL TANK. X4266 [struck through] X3596 The petrol level indicator for the Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)) has been designed and is in production and will be fitted to the first cars. We do not consider there is the least chance of getting R. {Sir Henry Royce} to agree to the level indicators on the market which can be read from the instrument board. On the very first Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)), wehad a reserve compartment with no level gauge and it was decided that it would be preferable to have a level gauge rather than have a reserve compartment, but to have both would be an unnecessary extravagance. We consider you should wait until you have had experience with the cars fitted with a proper level gauge before you ask for anything more. In any case, as it would mean scrapping the parts designed by Mr. Royce, we would recommend that you take this matter up directly with him. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
