Re. Vulture(Experimental 6 CYL OHV LONG STROKE / Aero Engine) - 29-EX.

We are going to run some full throttle torque dynamometer tests on this car and before doing so would like to inspect the Gearbox.

Sales, who had the car till last week, have been using first gear and the teeth may have again picked up, in which case we should require new gears for the Dynamometer test.

Also, we want to examine the bedding of the cones due to changing gear on the road, and we want to find out whether this is different to the bedding got by hand running in.

Will you also please fit a rear axle torque member of the "Frying Pan" type. This is to prevent excessive angular movement of the axle damaging the universal joints.

We hand you herewith a Ransome & Marles pinion thrust race of the high capacity type, which we should like fitted in place of the existing race.

Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /H.Grylls.
