OUR REF. MCW/JM {Mr Morley}

14th. November, 1939.

G.H. Grylls Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Grylls,

In reply to your letter of November 13th. regarding Studebaker Gearbox, we are despatching this to you in pieces to-day, addressed "For the attention of Mr. Robotham."

With regard to your questions:-

1. It was quiet, but not up to your standard.

2. Position of Sliders - as you will see, it has none.

3. I do not know whether you can obtain a spare in England, but we had no difficulty in getting a spare for the wheel which we broke, from Henleys, so I think it is quite likely they might have the rest of the bits.

Yours faithfully,
THE ROVER COMPANY LIMITED.

M.C. WILKS.
CHIEF ENGINEER.
