Dear Wilks,

Naturally we are interested to know when we may expect the Studebaker gearbox, but in the meantime are wondering whether you would tell us one or two points about this. These are :-

(1) Whether it was quiet.

(2) The position of the selector sliders i.e. on top or at which side of the box.

(3) Whether you know if we can obtain a spare in England.

We are sorry to give you this trouble, but it would help us to know these points as soon as possible.
