| COPY TO Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Evl/IH.241133. 24th November, 1933. Messrs. Park Ward & Co., Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, N.W. 10. Dear Sirs, We are enclosing herewith all the necessary information to enable you to start work on constructing the Continental Touring Saloon body for the wide frame 25 HP. Rolls-Royce chassis. There have been a good many chassis modifications since you built the last body. The frame side members are unchanged, but the dashboard has been moved back 3 1/2 inches and the front axle is moved forward. The bonnet radiator and dash are entirely different, likewise the position of the steering wheel. The column has been modified and also the petrol tank. The drawing which we enclose herewith will enable you to modify the jig and we suggest that this can be going along whilst you are producing the full-sized drawing. We want this body as quickly as you can produce it. In fact, our Works will be ready to mount it by Christmas. At the moment, however, we are not prepared to suggest that you should work overtime on the body, although we may have to agree to this at some future date. We also wish to confirm your telephone remarks of two days ago, that the urgent work on this experimental body will not interfere in any way with the up-to-date delivery of other customers' orders which you have in hand, including our own. We have asked Derby to send you direct a pair of cast -1- | ||
