For the attention of Mr. Skinner.

Dear Mr. Skinner,

Thank you so much for the carburetters which are safely to hand.

I do not know whether you have any information as to the Alvis induction pipe i.e. pipe bore, size of balance pipes, distance from the face of the carburetter flange to the centre line of the bore of the pipe. This information would probably save us a certain amount of trial and error work as doubtless Alvis have done a considerable amount of experimental work on the subject.

The one carburetter you did not send us was the 1 3/8" throttle dia, which I believe you call the 1 1/4" carburetter because of the piston diameter. This was the carburetter we wanted to try on our little engine instead of the 1 1/2" throttle dia. carburetter which seems a little too big to give the best snap opening up. We have been a little delayed with this supercharger but as soon as we have got to the stage where we are able to take an interest in the carburetters we will ask you to try and get over for half a day.

Yours sincerely,
