| -4- R {Sir Henry Royce} /EV. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 2/MH. {M. Huckerby} 9.10.36. 4) It is desired to use the scuttle rail arm of improved design thought out by our Mr.Evans, designed so that it could illuminate either side of the scuttle. We do not know what this is but during the writer's next visit you may be able to inform him. In any case it will be possible for you to obtain particulars from JLE. {J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} 5) The question of driving visibility is of vital importance and we understand that a lot of attention was paid to this at the Paris Show which was attended by Mr.Park and Mr.Thompson. We desire that the corners of the fixed wind screen be carried as low down as possible consistent with attractive appearance, and that the scuttle is not swept up unnecessarily high. The writer proposes calling at your Works early next week to go over the full-size drawing and any difficulties which you may be experiencing with the construction of the jig. As previously mentioned, we wish you to keep this information and the dummy chassis strictly confidential, and confirm that you will keep the dummy in a separate part of your Works where it cannot be seen by any unauthorized person. Prints of the following drawings are enclosed herewith:- Lec.5185. Enclosed Limousine - 1/4 scale - 'C' Steering. Lec.5187. Wingstays, Headlamps and Horns. Lec.5262. Front Wing - (2 sheets). Lec.5176. Side Spare Wheel Carrier - (2 sheets). | ||
