W/Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 2/WN. 9.10.36.

We also enclose herewith Lect.5307 - the rear wheel arch, sheets 1 and 2. We should be glad if you would arrange in the case of this car to have these arches made up for yourselves to our drawing. This will necessitate making some sort of jig or pattern. After we have seen the first set and are both agreed that the shape is what we require, a subsequent six or eight sets will be required for other bodies and we suggest you bear this in mind when making the jig for the first set.

A further drawing herewith is Lect.5324 showing body clearances over the rear axle. This shows the clearance between the seat-board, heel-board and floor with respect to the rear axle.

With respect to the Specification we have received the following comments from our Sales Dept. and we would be glad if you would modify the specification in the following respects:-

1) It is suggested that the glass in the doors, quarters and back lights should not be made in 3/16ths. Toughened glass but in 5/32" Aero Triplex. We would be glad if you would arrange to do this, and at the same time tell us the relative weights per square foot of the two types of glass in question, namely 3/16ths. Toughened glass and 5/32" Aero Triplex.

2) We wish to use all Laytex seats such as Messrs. Hooper & Co. have standardised in their enclosed limousine bodies. We understand that your Mr. Ark knows of these seats, and that you will be able to reproduce the Hooper seat and the consequent comfort results.

3) We have called for ash-trays for the rear seat passengers to be in the arm rests. It is desired that these should be in the companions.
