[Handwritten right margin: VG q-c panel BZ Rear.] The brake pedal was on the boards after a run to Scotland and back. We should like to know the amount of wear on the front and rear brakes respectively. The engine has become considerably rougher lately. This may be due to the deterioration of the crankshaft damper or to a foul somewhere. It is not possible to get into second speed satisfactorily. It was agreed that the engine unit and gearbox should be changed on this car forthwith. The engine unit to be fitted is No: 6. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /MHR. {M. H. Rigby} will put up a recommendation for modifications to the brake system on 4.B.50. [Handwritten: on chart on board. ✓] MECHANICAL PETROL PUMP. A mechanical petrol pump will be put into action on 9.B.V. STARTER MOTOR DRIVES. Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} will write to Oliver Lucas about rubber starter motor drives. [Handwritten: Lucas to supply new bonded drives ✓] BUICK UNDERBONNET TEMPERATURE. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Col. will investigate how Buick's get their underbonnet temperature, with a view to recommendation for Myth. [Handwritten: Test made ✓ ✗] CRITICAL AIR TEMPERATURES. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Col. will let Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} have a list of the critical air temperatures of all our present cars, as far as these can be ascertained from past tests, also for the Buick.
