It was agreed that Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Vyn should submit a report on some simpler scheme before the next meeting, and that this could be tested on any car.
Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/MHR{M. H. Rigby} reported that under extreme conditions there was no difference between the fully taped-up servo and the flat on the bottom face. This test is being carried out under less extreme conditions. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/MHR{M. H. Rigby} also reported that he had got rid of servo judders by putting "sponge" in the rod between the pedal and the servo, which caused about ¼" loss of pedal travel. This scheme is at present fitted to the Custom.
BRAKES.
Clearances have been at present increased on 4.B., 9.B., and 11.B., and I-R-1 is going to be done. MHR.{M. H. Rigby} will issue instructions this week for the wedges on these cars to be dealt with.
It was reported that the brakes on 12.B.V. were now alright and it was thought that Lp{Mr Lappin}'s trouble was water on the servo.
Rem.
Reports to be in on the last Saturday in May. Conference on the first Saturday in June.
