To Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
From G.W.H.

We arrived here this evening having called in Paris on our way. We have not had any serious trouble with the Car, with the exception that we had to let the clutch pedal down as with full torque it was hard on the board.

The front of the Car is hopeless without maximum damping. The crankshaft period starting at 3.500 keeps on to 4.500, above this speed it becomes much smoother and runs very well.

We have been on the Montheléry Track and will let you have the figures tomorrow.

Will you please enquire from the Wakefields about the oil. It should have arrived, but there is no sign of it.

G.W.H.
