| To EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} from CJ. CJ1/D20.3.32. We are sending back the "Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine))" Limousine. We asked for it to be sent up so that LBS. could try it with Mr. Gibbs. They are both of them very disappointed with the performance of the car, and we feel that no further "Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine))" demonstrations should be given unless Derby are satisfied that the running of the car is sufficiently good for demonstration purposes. Mr. Northey says that the S.U. carburettor improves the performance by 45%. If this is so, to allow anyone to try a "Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine))" with the old carburettor on is a fatal error and must not be repeated.
