X1487 CJ. from EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}1/LG21.3.22. 3 GOSHAWK 11. GOSHAWK LIMOUSINE. [Handwritten note] Not until fitted with carburettor [Typed text] I take it from your memo CJ1/D20.3.22. that this car should be fitted up with the S.U. Carburetter and that if the performance is definitely improved, a further test of the car could be taken by LHS{Lord Herbert Scott}, Mr. Gibbs and yourself. Would this week-end be convenient for this? [Handwritten initial] R As the use of the S.U. Carburetter has not as yet been condoned by R.{Sir Henry Royce} we have not considered it advisable for the car to be run as a sample proposed production, fitted with this carburetter. From the last paragraph of your letter, I take it, that this is now in order. [Handwritten signatures and notes] agreed EP.{G.
