(6) All the screws holding the escutcheons for the door handles had worked loose, and this appears again to suffer from inadequate depth of wood to screw into.

(7) The foot rest for the rear seats appears to have no means whereby it will move continuously in one plane if operated from one side. We think the design is not suitable and have removed this fitting with a view to bringing it back to you.

These points cover the features of the body which have been dealt with.

We still have to cure a very bad rattle which emanates from the N.S. front bucket seat which is loose in its rails. The body itself shows no sign of cracking up, but it does appear that due to the large amount of thinning done to the depth of the doors, that the lock has so reduced the thickness of the framing, that the turnunder of the front of the rear O.S. door has been diminished by half an inch and the doors do not close flush. We suggest that a plate be fitted down the face of the door with a hole in it through which the lock bolt can pass.

The writer proposes calling upon you in the near future to go over these items in detail.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
