C.and I, as you know, were driven by Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to Nottingham yesterday evening in 27-EX, and we agree that the wells in the rear of the car are an improvement from several points of view.

I believe that to introduce this scheme means some alterations to bars of the chassis frame but I am not quite sure how extensive the alteration is or how important structurally, i.e. is it a thing which, before we introduce, ought to be subjected to 10,000 mile test, and is it a thing which we can get in on production fairly easily, that is to say, on the next batch of Continental Phantom material, so that we could show it at the next Olympia show, as one of the important points is that it helps the body lines
improves

I should be glad if you would have the matter looked into and, if convenient, propose we could discuss it when I am at Derby next week.

We were very favourably impressed with the improvement in the riding resulting from independent front wheel springing although we appreciate that it is only in the experimental stages and not yet adequately damped.
