| X3596 P/W. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} o {Mr Oldham} / EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Wa. {Mr Wallis} 5/Go.7.2.23 re 20-HP GOSHAWK(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)) - Petrol Gauges We noticed on 2 Goshawk(Aero Engine)(Codename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after Kestrel(Aero Engine)) chassis which passed through our garage on the way to Switzerland that petrol gauges were fitted on the tanks. We would like to bring to your notice that these gauges are not very suitable for use in this Country - the graduations are not close enough, a difference of 10 litres between graduations is too much. One can be fined in this Country for an error of 1 litre. Is the telejauge unsatisfactory ? it seems to us a superior instrument to that fitted on the above two chassis and is giving satisfaction to many Rolls Royce owners here.
