To Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Bentley Clutch. Sg {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 5/E12.3.36
Copy to Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} E.RV.

I am in receipt of Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 5/KW.10.3.36. I have
re-read Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 6/KW.19.11.35 and in view of the information
given there relative to the inferiority of the RR clutch
as compared with the Borg and Beck clutch standardised for
the 4¼-litre Bentley, I do not agree to any action being
taken at this juncture to use the RR clutch on the 4¼-litre
Bentley.

The matter will come up for discussion at the
next conference.
