Dear Sirs,

Re: LAVINE STEERING GEARS.

We are in receipt of a copy of your communication of the 8th ultimo, sent to our Principals the Lavine Gear Company and also a copy of their reply.

We are not sure exactly what they have sent you, but we are sending you a small brochure referring to the Lavine Gear and also a specification drawing, on which can be indicated certain variables to suit the car design in question, which would have to be embodied in the gear.

It would appear from the data you give us regarding loading, that our type "AA {D. Abbot Anderson} " should be used although it is possible that (where price is a consideration) the "A" type might be used for the same job.

With regard to the Gear ratio, according to the data we have, Model "A" could be supplied with an overall ratio of 13.15 to 1 and Model "AA {D. Abbot Anderson} " could be supplied with an overall ratio of 12.8 to 1. Of course, for production quantities, any ratio you desire could be supplied.

We would like to advise you that we shall be showing this gear at the forthcoming Motor Exhibition
