ALUMINIUM BRAKE SHOES.

We want to find out whether aluminium
brake shoes grow when heated. It has been suggested
that this is the cause of brake seizure.

Will RHC. {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} please supply H1. with a shoe
of which the dimensions are accurately known.

If H1. will then heat it to 300°C by immersion
or otherwise, we shall be able to find out whether
it has permanently increased in size.
