| To BJ/Py. from Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3861 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 3/LG15.3.26. NEW STEERING WHEEL. We have seen the sample of steering from Bardelli Ferando Oreste, Melano, Italy. The feature of this wheel is that it is covered with a fairly thick covering of resilient soft rubber similar to that used on the cover of a tyre. In our opinion the covering is not as good as our present standard - (1) Because of appearance. (2) The rubber covering will deteriorate in time. (3) It would be uncomfortable if wet, or in hot weather. (4) We think, when driving, it is necessary for the wheel to slip through the hands easily, at times. Altogether, we do not favour this wheel and do not see that it possesses any advantages. We are returning it to you. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
