| X 224 To R. {Sir Henry Royce} from E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} E.4/HP. 27.8.32. c. Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} re Bensport(Codename for 3 1/2-litre Bentley) Fan Drive. Please find herewith print of Lec.3168 showing the proposed scheme for carrying a fan pulley on the front end of the camshaft. When using this crankcase for Peregrine(Experimental Bentley car never produced / Aero Engine) we can drive the fan in the same way from the camshaft but using a larger pulley in the absence of the blower, and thus relieve the front end of the crankshaft of further inertia if desired. We are showing this on a scheme to be sent later. E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} [STAMP] RECEIVED 29 AUG 32 | ||
