| X 3398. To Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} c. to EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/AT30.7.20. X.3782.- LIGHT WEIGHT BATTERIES MAPLE LEAF X.3398.- CONDOR(Aero Engine) ENGINE. These batteries were handed over by us for dispatch this morning in accordance with appearances and verbal arrangement. Judging from the labels on these batteries they are not the special high rate discharge batteries similar to those we had for trial on the Airship starter job, and we should hesitate to say that these will be satisfactory on the particular job for which they are now destined. We therefore suggest that caution be exe(Aero Engine)rcised as to whether these are used in preference to the Chloride car battery already sent, the performance of which we know so much better.
