The coiled tube connection from unit to frame connection gave no trouble during the latter mileage (approximately 2000 miles).

REAR ANCHORAGE OF FRONT ROAD SPRINGS.
F.58333 Anchor Brackets - Mod. to EX 22165/6

The new type anchorage has shown no weakness.

PROPELLOR SHAFT LOP G.57096
to suit .850" Hypoid Axle.

The Propellor shaft was free from periods. When taken down, the sliding joint had almost seized and the needle bearings in the mechanics joints had worn flats on them.
The universal joints were not in a good condition.

REAR AXLE HYPOID 9 x 41 RATIO.

The rear axle gave no trouble during the mileage. It was quiet and free from oil leaks.

PETROL TANK. LOP F.61082 LEC 4817.

Complete to the above LOP incorporating :-
Petrol Filter on rear cross member.
Petrol Pump LEC 4809 EX 22036 temporary
rubber mounting fitted.

The Petrol Tank is intact, no trouble experienced. The Pumps were quieter with the rubber mounting, supply of petrol adequate. The Filter satisfactory. The position of the Filter on the rear cross member has been modified in accordance with instructions, to prevent axle fouling on the rebound.
A bad leak of oil developed from the breather pipe from cylinder head to silencer. The oil is drawn into the silencer and when the engine stops, the excess drains back. The sliding sleeves of the breather pipe are so fitted, that the smaller dia pipe is on the inside and the oil escapes through the joint of the two pipes. If the smaller dia pipe was fitted uppermost there would not be a flange for the oil to collect, and an oil proof joint would be obtained. In other words the breather pipe requires turning round.

FAN LOP 60391.

The outer rivet on two blades worked loose. No further trouble occurred after re-riveting. The drive and bearings gave no trouble.
