An advantage of this method is that removal of the wheel involves unloading half the luggage instead of all of it. A disadvantage is that it makes the boot appear smaller than it really is. The accommodation proved to be:-

1) 1 Siam set of suitcases.

Plus 2 medium suitcases (22" x 14" x 6")
Plus 2 small suitcases (20" x 14½" x 6½")

This arrangement was no jig saw puzzle; the small and medium cases could be arranged in four different ways.

or 2) 1 School trunk

1 Siam set of suitcases less one small case.
