MINUTES TAKEN AT CONFERENCE AT MIDLAND HOTEL.

3RD NOVEMBER 1920.

Ref. 1. Works Agenda. Lower Geared Axle.

To ask R. {Sir Henry Royce} , provided Works can make 15/52 as quiet as 16/52 if he has any objections to them being used on open cars.

3 Speed v. {VIENNA} 4 Speed Gear Box.

That the Conference agree with R18/G12.10.20 dated 12th Oct. to CJ. on same. Works made the reservation that they were doubtful as to the probability of making a sufficiently quiet very low geared axle, and that it would be better to make experiments with lower geared axles before definitely deciding.

Can Works Committee form any rough idea of what the new 40/50HP chassis, of latest design, will cost, over and above present chassis, and they should examine both 12 and 6 cylinder types.

Fuel consumption and Economy Test. Ref. 2. Sales Agenda.

If Experimental Dept. will supply information to Sales, the latter will undertake to make use of same.

Castrol Oil. Ref. 5. Sales Agenda.

Asked Experimental Dept. to carry out some more experiments and report by next meeting.
