| TO [redacted] FROM EV. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} COPY TO [redacted] HS. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} II ORIGINAL RADIATOR GRILL FOR 3.4L As requested by Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /ltm. we send herewith N.Sch.3710. showing a radiator grill for Bensport(Codename for 3 1/2-litre Bentley) when no shutters are fitted and the grill can be attached permanently to the radiator shell. We understand that this scheme is only needed for test purposes. As in this scheme we shall need to fill up the hole behind the grill we have shown a grill of .064. wire and three meshes to the inch. The construction of the grill is the same as that on N.Sch.3706 already sent to you. We have pointed out that as the shutters have been deleted it would be possible to move the matrix forward .500 in the shell and so be able to move the engine forward a corresponding amount. This we think would be a great help to the pedrls. We understand that "B" is still considering the engine position and we are therefore leaving this move for Derby to deal with should it be decided to abolish the use of radiator shutters.
