| 86092. To HPS. {Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Wst. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Wst.24/AP.18.11.36. Resistance Element for Regulator. In connection with the experiments being carried out with a multi-stage regulator, will you please have one No.5. resistance element made. This will consist of 27 turns of 34 SWG. "Glowray" wire, wound on a D.75595 former. When completed, it should be given a coat on each side of a hard-setting, non-cracking varnish, capable of withstanding a fairly high temperature. The varnish should extend to within about .20" of the ends, care being taken to leave the ends clean. The whole may then be baked if necessary. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Wst. | ||
