TO INTRODUCE A NECESSARY CHANGE INTO "INDIA(Production 20 HP. with 4-speed box and Front Wheel Brakes)" AT ONCE. I find that West Wittering(Henry Royce's home town) had instructed a special worm for "India(Production 20 HP. with 4-speed box and Front Wheel Brakes)" which would have had to be replaced when FWB. are fitted. This was not my intention. I have only just discovered the error, and wish to have your permission to replace the pieces specified in accordance with West Wittering(Henry Royce's home town) drawing, by the final worm. The Speedometer Driving Gear will be made to suit. Unless this is done, it will mean taking the third motion shaft out of the box, and in any case it means unnecessary scrap, as the final piece could, and should have been used in this position. Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} and Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} agree that this is necessary. This issue arose too late to telephone. BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Ry | ||
