CLUTCH SPRING DRIVE - BENTLEY.

We find that the damping load increases on these spring drives after running in an engine due presumably to the friction surfaces becoming polished and having a higher coefficient of friction.

It seems therefore necessary to run in the surfaces in a rig before fitting the spring drive in a car. The damping setting should then remain put.

Will you therefore please arrange a rig so that this can be done, so that we can instruct the works to use similar treatment.
