In your recent long memo in connection with springing - a reference was made to the use of cadmium [springs - struck through] plating in a way which indicates it had become standard. We should much like to know the exact position in respect of this as obviously there was a mistake in stating the process was standard - it being still, so far as we are informed, in an experimental state.

We should like this cadmium plating to become available for standard production as soon as possible. Is there anything to prevent it?
